I’m spending more time in all weathers, more time outside just taking in nature to fuel my creativity. My favourite trainers are covered in mud and are feeling comfortable and well-worn. I don’t mind that, I mismatch my clothes which is the total opposite of what I would do in the office. In the office, I always had it together. Now, I am a creative, so it doesn’t matter whether my clothes match and it’s liberating.

However, around my writing space, I need it to be very minimal so I don’t get distracted. I can focus a lot easier in a space where there is reduced clutter or things I can procrastinate with. It’s interesting that the internet hasn’t been a distraction despite my laptop being in front of me. I am patient with the minimalism; I have young children who love arts and crafts and to be with me so their items are around me too. I can’t call myself creative if I don’t allow my children to be in the way they wish to express themselves.
I’ve found a very different voice to my style since I’ve been on this career break. I find it more empathic and less structured in it’s approach- more conversational and thoughtful. It’s been great to write without bullet points. I am really enjoying exploring my writing style and feeling like it comes from the heart.
How about you? Do you prefer a cluttered environment but matched dress, or are you the opposite like me? Does the weather deter you from getting outside, or Covid-19 has encouraged you to do it regardless? Let me know.

Ohh, how simply written!😍 I can personally focus whenever I’m listening to music. May it be a cluttered or clean or beautiful place. 😄
