Different Perspectives

When we go out anywhere, the little one loves to keep up with her older sister. See the picture above with them looking over the gate? That shows that they have different perspectives! ‘Look mummy, I can see the Reservoir’ said my eldest as she could see over the top where the second one remarked ‘Look at the baby lamb!’ They could see different perspectives of the same scenery but all as valuable!

Okay, it is a given that my little one is very passionate about nature, animals, trees and fields (that she always calls meadows). My eldest is very sporty and I would have to just stop her from trying to stand on the top of the gate to save an injury!

One of the things in work places is something I am very passionate about; the encouragement of diversity of thought. Different people, with different backgrounds, different interests see things in different ways! Apart from saying the word ‘different’ multiple times, it is where value could be added to any business and this should be encouraged. Being able to look from different positions, angles and sides is important for achieving customer satisfaction and success!

The aim may be to see the water in the distance, but it wouldn’t be as glorious without seeing the fields and the lambs in the next step of your business leadership is vital!

A career break is something I never thought I would do. Please join me in my transition journey from being a career-woman mum to a full time mum to my two lovely girls. It is helping me to compare business practice with the way we do things in family life.
